Q: How do you keep your clients, and yourself, motivated to stick to a fitness regimen once they stop seeing immediate results?
A: As a trainer, I see weight loss plateaus happen a lot. I’ve experienced it in my own fitness and professional athlete journey, too. It’s a little different when your goal is to gain muscle, but definitely a frustrating experience on both ends. The key is to find a balance between diet and exercise routine to maximize your body’s potential for burning fat and building muscle.
Q: So you build exercise and meal plans for your clients. How does your plan change once they reach that plateau point?
A: The way I see it, when people’s bodies plateau is a good sign. It means you’ve done a good job at working hard, and indicates your body has definitely become stronger. From there, we just make sure their body has enough fuel to level up their workouts, and keep going until they reach their goal.
Q: Are there any shortcuts to overcoming the dreaded plateau? I want abs by spring.
A: Haha, as much as I wish there was, there’s no substitute for hard work. But it’s important to acknowledge how far you’ve come. Retracing your steps is also helpful. By that I mean, like, thinking about if you’re really doing everything you can to reach your goal. Sometimes the answer is as easy as finding the right vitamin supplements to help your body power through.
Q: Which supplements do you recommend taking?
A: Because I’ve noticed a lot of people give up after not being able to overcome plateaus, I developed a special fat burning vitamin stack to help. This is what I recommend for all my clients and friends who are doing everything right but need an extra hand to slim down. It’s packed with all natural, good stuff to treat bloating, gain lean muscle, and block fat cell production.
Q: Tell us about how to maintain after reaching our fitness goals.
A: These are lifestyle changes, so what’s really important to continue after you reach your goal weight and muscle proportion is to keep up with doing the activities that you love. And, of course, eating delicious and wholesome food. I believe in everyone’s ability to take charge of their own health, and sometimes that’s something they need to remember themselves too.
